Creating Combos for Our Country

Memorial Day is the time to remember our deceased
loved ones as well as to honor our military. Recognize the holiday
by creating a combination pot of your own design in our newly built
“Potting Shed.” Garden
experts will be on hand to assist with any questions. Stockslager’s
will donate $20 of the $30 value to Support Our Troops. Container
and Materials provided. Donation presentation will be made on

Creating Combos for the Cure

Stockslager’s will once again open its “Potting
Shed, ” but this time to raise money for and awareness of three
local non-profit organizations whose mission is to support people in
the Dayton area who are dealing with cancer: The Noble Circle
Project, The Cancer Support Community, and Women’s Wellness.
When you create a combination
pot with plants of your own choosing, $20 of the $30 value will be
donated to the group of your choice. As a gift or to enhance your
own yard, this pot of quality-grown flowers will be a beautiful
reminder of your choice to bring joy to the life of those diagnosed
with cancer. Donation presentation will be made on 6/2/12.

Festive Fall Planning

As summer winds down, our supply of bulbs, black
pansies, and a variety of garden mums and giant Belgium mums go
quickly. Get yours before they are gone, and while you are at it,
bring your planters to our “Potting Shed” to trade out summer
flowers for spectacular fall color. Purchase pumpkins as well as
colorful gourds.

“Blooming Buddies” Mumpkin Making Tour

Pre-register your 4 to 12 year old “Blooming
Buddies” to tour the greenhouses and make their own “Mumpkin” (a mum
planted in a pumpkin!) $4.00 fee due at pre-registration. Space is

Get in the spirit of the upcoming holiday season
by going behind the scenes to witness first-hand what the average
retail customer never gets to see. You will be awe-struck as you
walk through acres of red, white, pink, burgundy poinsettias. Enjoy
refreshments and bring your camera for incredible photo
opportunities. Pre-register by 11/3/12. Also, bring your planters,
and after the tour, fill them in our “Potting Shed” with
locally-grown greenery.

Flower Fairy Birthday Tea Party

celebrate the special day of a young child (ages 4 – 11) who believe

Godmother, and Ariel, the Flower Fairy.
