Our Legacy

A Family Tradition Rooted in Growth Since 1959

At Stockslagers Greenhouse and Garden Center, we’ve been growing more than plants — we’ve been growing a legacy.

Our story began in 1959, when Ray and Joyce Stockslager turned a shared passion for gardening into a humble greenhouse operation focused on growing high-quality spring annuals. Back then, Stockslagers was open only during the spring months, serving the local community with a dedication to quality, hard work, and family values.

As the years passed, the next generation took root. In the early 1980s, Duke and Scott Stockslager, along with Scott’s wife Barb, joined the business, bringing with them fresh ideas and a vision for growth. Under their leadership, Stockslagers expanded its offerings and became a year-round greenhouse, proudly growing not only beloved spring annuals, but also fall garden mums and vibrant Christmas poinsettias.

Today, Stockslagers is thriving in its third generation, still family-owned and operated, and still deeply committed to the values that started it all — hard work, integrity, and a love of growing. What began as a seasonal venture has blossomed into a full-service garden center, dedicated to providing exceptional plants and personalized service for every season.

From our family to yours — thank you for being part of our story.
